Camels! Thirsty Iraqi Kids! Dogs!

Real Iraqi camels out by the Entry Control Point (ECP) to the base. They look like pretty normal camels.

Thirsty Iraqi kids standing next to the road on the way to the gate asking for water and free candy I guess. They were herding the camels with some adult Iraqis. I really don't understand why they are allowed to get so close to the gate, but maybe they have some sort of arrangement or something because they are there every day around noon.

And no I didn't stop and give them anything, or I would have probably gotten run over by one of these things, which come barreling down the road on the way back to the base.

Stray dog laying under a tree, also by the road. I've seen probably half a dozen stray dogs wandering around the base, mostly outside the main gate. They look like regular American dogs.
